Soft Tissue Massage
Your therapist may use soft tissue massage for the aim to increase blood flow to an area, reduce pain and swelling and help to loosen tight, contracted muscles and joints.
There are various forms of electrotherapy including therapeutic ultrasound and interferential therapy which are used at our clinic.
The aim of electrotherapy used is to reduce pain, increase blood flow to an area to aid the healing process, stimulate muscle contraction or to reduce muscle spasm.
Acupuncture and Dry needling
The use of acupuncture and dry needling at the clinic, involves placing a thin and flexible monofilament (solid) needle into tissues for the aim of reducing muscle tension and to relieve pain.
Exercises may be prescribed to a patient to help them regain muscle strength, increase range of movement of a joint, and improve balance. All exercise programmes are designed for the individual’s requirements to get them back to their everyday or sporting activity.
